Trifilon and its BioBlade project partners have received funding of SEK 350,000 from the Swedish governmental innovation agency Vinnova. The BioBlade project aims to construct and test a 7.5m wind turbine blade using Trifilon's patent composite material.
The funding for the BioBlade project comes from Vinnova's strategic "BioInnovation" program. The project will be performed over a 6 month period and aims demonstrate the feasibility of Trifilon's unique biocomposite. The project will be run in collaboration with the Swedish WindPower Technology Center (SWPTC) at Chalmers University and Scandinavian Wind.
