Trifilon BioLite® - REACH Declaration of Compliance
The Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 was adopted by the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006. Entered into force on 1th June 2007. The overall purpose of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemical substances. More on REACH: https://echa.europa.eu/web/guest/regulations/reach/understanding-reach
A general principle of REACH is that it is the manufacturers, importers and downstream users that have the responsibilities for the chemicals they manufacture, distibute into the markets and use. Trifilon is considered to be a downstream userite and does fully undertake the repsonsibilities within this role. We continuously work to ensure that all our suppliers have gone through the registration or pre-registration when needed, for the substances Trifilon use that are within the scope of REACH.
None of the subtances used in BioLite or during the manufacturing of Biolite are substances of very high concern according to the candidate list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) by ECHA. (Last update on 2018-06-27) https://www.echa.europa.eu/candidate-list-table
